Letters home from France, 1918-1919.

Letters from Lee Beckman to his wife, Eunice, in Cloquet and Echo, Minnesota, and in Danville, Iowa, while training and serving in the 337th Machine Gun Battalion of the American Expeditionary Force, and in officer training during World War I. Most of Beckman's letters are from France, and comment on his impressions of Army life, of France, the couple's activities before the war, goings-on at home during his absence, and his anxiousness to be home with Eunice again. There are some brief references to the Cloquet (Minn.) Fire (1918), and to Eunice's work as a school teacher in Echo, Minnesota.
